Consider installing timer switches on bathroom heat lamps and connecting bathroom exhaust fans to light switches to reduce excessive operation
Use renewable/sustainable energy solutions such as on-grid/off-grid PV systems, biogas digesters on premises for electricity generation
Encourage guests to save energy and water by using informative tips in guestrooms
Switch to LED or high pressure sodium or low-wattage metal halide lamps for outdoor lighting
Shut down one or two of your elevators during off-peak periods to help save energy
Use occupancy sensors to switch-off electrical loads (except the minibar) when no one is in the room
Use intelligent control for the HVAC system (Energy management system or Building management system)
Purchase high efficiency HVAC equipment
Purchase high efficiency refrigerators
Purchase mini bars that are highly efficient with electricity consumption of less than 1.5 kWh/day or electrical power less than 65 Watt
Replace At least 75% of the indoor standard sized light bulbs with energy-saving light bulbs (CFL, LED)
Register the hotel’s total electrical energy use at least once per month
Set All Refrigerators to Eco-mode
